If a "Google Linux" desktop worked like linspire does Everyone on AOL would
probably want to switch. Simply brainless.

It's already been denied. I imagine it's the OS they use internally.
There's
a whole nightmare in shipping something like an OS that I imagine Google
wants to avoid. That nightmare is called: Idiot users and the call centers
they think they need.
As much as I'd love to see Google push Linux I doubt they believe they can
do
much for it. It'd only be marginally easier to tell someone google linux
rocks verse saying ubuntu rocks. Seeing really is believing; of course
getting people to see is always hard. And I haven't seen Google make any
incredible marketing campaigns of their own yet (although they're helpful to
other companies to the same end).
