[Cialug] Soyo k7vme / VIA 8233 audio not working on Ubuntu 6.06

I had a similar problem with Ubuntu, Kubuntu, SimplyMepis and Linspire, no
audio on VIA chipsets. Same result as well, no one could help fix it.
Went back to Suse.
