I'm not aware of any classes, but the O'Reilly MySQL Cookbook by Paul Dubois
is great and I don't even have the latest edition. The new edition covers
MySQL 5. I would also recommend the new O'Reilly book on MySQL stored
procedure programming. I have another one by Sams Publishing written by
Paul Dubois called MySQL which is good.

Any recommendations?
Thoughts about online courses?
How in-depth do you need to get? The documentation on the MySQL Web
site is very extensive. I'm no MySQL guru, but every question I've
had so far was successfully answered by consulting their online
manuals.
They are a bit counter-intuitive to locate from the main page, though.
You need to click on the "Community" link at the top, then the
"Documentation" link is in the column on the left.
Sorry, probably not the answer you were looking for, but maybe it will
help someone else on the list.
My company is paying for my mysql class. Yes, I use mysql documentation to
solve problemes. Though some additional info about optimisation, moving from
4 to 5, etc. wouldn't hurt?
