[Cialug] ubuntu 5.10 [root ?]

Question:

 

I just installed ubuntu 5.10 on my ibook.   During the installation a point
never came where the installer asked for a root password to be established.
So I've completely installed the OS, logged on as a user and booted into
Gnome.  My question is, how do I establish the root password on ubuntu?
