We have an AXIS 205. Piece of cake to setup. Takes less than 5 minutes.
Wish we could have afforded the high end ones with pan/tilt/zoom.
It is used indoors in our lab. AXIS has versions for outdoor use.
You can access the images via the http (maybe even ftp) server running on
the box. We had a guy write a quick 10-20 line perl app which grabbed the
image via a URL.
The only problem is that we have a fixed lens and wish we had a zoom lens.
We have to place the camera about 1.5 feet in front of some equipment to
read the LEDs.
It is a pretty wide angle.

[Cialug] Axis web cameras
Has anyone had any experience with the Axis line of network cameras? I
understand they have linux embedded.
Was it easy to use/configure, did you set it up outdoors or indoors? Did
you use it as is, or access it through a program to grab images?
Thanks.
