I'm running FreeBSD 4.10 on an box that's approaching 350K hits/mo. 
Seems to work about as well as the LAMP boxes I run, but almost 
everything I do is in the userland (the AMP part), so once you get 
around the significantly different system setup, it's about the same

apache 1.3.33
php 4.3.9 (going to .10 tonight)
mysql 4.0.22
