Did in anyone notice that in smaller enterprises (50-200) that training
costs are used to kill a project? In one example, they were interested
in switching some people to Linux. Then they decided they didn't want to
spend the money on training there people to use Open Office.
It really seemed like a mute point to me. They didn't have any training
programs in place for **anything*. In fact they *never* provided any
technology training at all.
Most people with computer skills slightly above entry level don't have
trouble using evolution, and most feel a little awkward with OO, but get
in the groove relatively quickly. So, I just don't get it... Maybe
we're back to the "People just don't like change" thing...
