If your using Qwest then any of the Qwest Actiontec DSL modems should work
just fine. The one they currently send out is the GT701. If your having 
problems
like you described your ISP should be able to help you resolve them or 
identify
where the problem is specifically. As a DSL ISP I can say I have seen cases
where something similiar to what you described has happened. In Fact I have
argued with Qwest on numerous occasions about bad DSLAM ports and
they told me several times if they switched ports and it did not fix the 
problem
they would bill me. I told them to go ahead and if it did fix it then I 
would bill
them since they couldn't figure it out themselves:) In every single case 
when
they switched DSLAM ports it immediately fixed the problem.
