[Cialug] 80GB drive install

I'm attempting to get a WD800JB (Western Digital 80gb drive) installed 
in a Mandrake 9.1 box.  It shows up as 33.8 GB.  This is a second drive, 
not needed to boot from.  I've searched for info and everything I've 
found indicates the Linux kernel should not be constrained by any bios 
limitations and the 33.8GB limit should have been solved long ago 
(kernel 2.2.14).  The motherboard is a K7T turbo, if that helps.

Any ideas?
