IMHO it's getting so that a proprietary licensed Unix is just about 
obsolete - with Linux, *BSD, HURD (allegedly), plus Sun talking about 
releasing under an OSS-ish license. It would be nice if the Unix 
codebase just became OSS licensed, or dual-licensed like MySQL.

Most likely if SCO loses and goes out of business (story on /. today 
says they're just about to be de-listed from the stock exchange), one of 
the Unix license holders like Sun or IBM will try to pick it up.
