[Cialug] Upgrade questions

Can you explain how Debian differs from other distributions in this
regard? To be honest, I have only used Red Hat (6.x) and SuSE, so that
is all I am familiar with. I did play around with Knoppix recently
after hearing about it, but that is about it.
