Greetings from Warburton, Victoria, Australia.
I hope this email is not regarded as spam: I have an ongoing network problem which no one else
has been able to resolve. I've been maintaining a small Mac network for 14 years but have no
Linux knowledge.
Below is the posting I've been circulating:

I have a connectivity problems over an Ethernet network. My new eMac (OS10.4) can see but can't
connect to my two G3s (running 8.6 and 8.0), with an error message stating 'É incompatible
version of the AFP protocol'.
My patient vendor has walked me through all the networking options (TCP/IP, AppleTalk, etc.) on
the eMac and can't offer anything further.

Ironically, the two older machines CAN mount the eMac using TCP/IP, and I'm starting to wonder
if the Tiger has a bug.
