I am getting a kernel panic when I try to boot into my newly installed Gentoo
system, I have followed the Gentoo install guide on their site, and have
everything setup correct. I don't know what is causing this or where to start
looking to fix it.
Here is some information I got when it froze:

<0>Kernel Panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
I'm guessing it has something to do with the config of my system, because the
gentoo 2005.0 and KNOPPIX live CDs both boot up fine. I have also tried
installing Slackeware, I can get it to boot, if I disable hotplug from starting
at boot, but when I try to start it once I'm logged in it kills the system.
I have no as to were to start looking for the problem. Any help and advice would
be very much appreciated.
Thanks
