I can view things such as the system event log (sel), but sensors and =
chassis categories don't work for some reason.

I pointed you at what I knew would give you what you were asking for
and in your request you did not say speed was one of the requirements.
If it clicks it needs replaced.

mdadm doesn't do anything (megaraid is HW RAID, md is the soft RAID).
raidtools2 happens to be more utilities for the same..
