I wondered about the quality of the batteries. we used to have a chemical
engineer who worked here who was expert in battery technology. he had a
tirade he would go into about cheap foreign batteries and American battery
quality.
In the long run it still might be cheaper to replace a cheap battery every
two years or an expensive one every three years - except for the pain of
changing them.

Customer service at Interstate has always been great! You can drop off any
batteries for them to recycle and that is what we do at work when we need to
recycle our ISO 14000 bin-o-batteries.
My only problem with them is that they use cheaply built Chinese batteries
which are not as good as the original equipment manufacturer batteries.
That is why their replacement batteries are so much cheaper.
