I'm also a fan of Coyote Linux. The machine i have which runs it is
completely silent, no moving parts. Well, the floppy moves when the
machine boots up, but i only reboot it about once per year.
Recently i've been toying with the idea of moving to an OpenBSD
firewall though. I really like pf, especially in comparison to ipchains
and iptables that i'm familiar with on Linux (and whatever the Linux
2.0.x packet filter was called... once upon a time i was familiar with
that one too). Getting OpenBSD small enough to fit on a floppy would be
an "interesting" challenge. Which is why i haven't done it yet. I'd
probably have to switch to booting from a read-only Zip disk or a CD.
