Just like a 50's era Ford would slice through an 80's model. Yes that is
true that the older PCs were often developed with a little heavier
components. But much of the interconnects and cabling remains the same. i.e.
The exposed parts.

I hate to sound like an "old guy" but it didn't it seem like back in
those days (pre-pentium era) they were better built? Higher quality
fans, heavier steel in the chassis, etc...
