You can install phpmyadmin by simply downloading the .tgz from their web
site and extracting it. You'll have to change the admin password in the
config.inc.php (or something like that).
If you already have php & mysql working this would be an easy solution
for you. If you still need to get the php mysql stuff working then you
should probably keep heading down that path.
