Hi,<br>
<br>
I am trying things with my recently acquired scanner and I found that VueScan works fine with OS 10.6 and an Epson Perfection Photo 3170(Epson's own software will only use the Grab Image app.). I noticed in VueScan an option where I can choose multiple pass so I tried setting it to 4 and it is taking a long time to scan. Is it worth it?<br>
<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>I highly doubt it. Many scanners, even cheap ones, these days can scan high enough resolution to pick up the grain in the paper. The exception may be if you're scanning slides or negatives or if the multi-pass scan is able to get better color results.</div>
<div><br></div><div>In my opinion, the multi-pass scans just mean more time removing dust in photo shop.</div><div><br></div><div>-- matt </div></div>
