Blogs are really only useful as a way for a single person to broadcast<br>
to a lot of users, then allows for often-ignored, generally short<br>
responses from random commenters who are viewed as being much less<br>
trustworthy sources of information. This makes it a great medium for<br>
the distribution of helpful articles to the rest of the MUG, but doesn't<br>
foster discussion or the back-and-forth exchange of help and ideas that<br>
the mailing list offers. If you wanted to have a list-like web medium,<br>
you would probably want to look into forum software of some sort. The<br>
only reason I could see for using forum software over the mailing list<br>
would be the ability to look up information from a previous conversation<br>
that occurred just outside of your memory.<br>
