True. In fact, a church I work with had to do this once due to an issue with sound in on their MacBook Pro. Even though the positioning wasn't optimal, the podcast turned out to be acceptable. If background noise (particularly typing) can be controlled, this may be a good, inexpensive option. <br>

Audacity will also use the built-in microphone on your iMac/eMac/iBook/PowerBook/MacBook/MacBook Air/MacBook Pro. (Towers, Cubes and Minis don't have a built-in microphone).<br>
