I would like to retain, as site visitors, the people I gave the biz
cards to. I <i>could</i> direct them to a new site from the Vistaprint
site, so the Firefox could be temporary; although I would probably
prefer to keep the site. (I told everyone at the Lapidary club to take
a card and I would have my birthday present (5/5/46) website up by this
weekend. Ouch.)<br>

I told the customer service rep at Vistaprint I really liked their
print products, but they were doing themselves more harm than good with
the disappointing browser support situation. My delight with the cards
I've bought in the past is outweighed by my disappointment with their
half baked plan to expand to electronic business support. Looked great
until I tryed it. (They will let me keep the URL and take it elsewhere,
for $19.95.)<br></div></blockquote></div><br clear="all">Hi, just to confirm you can use both browsers, but just to make sure that's the answer to your question, are you saying you've made a commitment to use a Vista Print product and are unable to fully utilize this product because they don't support Safari? If so, then using firefox will work just fine installed alongside Safari (as others have said).<br>
<br>I want to clarify though that the browser you use won't impact if people can use your site or not. Once it's created, regardless of the browser you use, people who view it will be fine (regardless of the browser they prefer).<br>
<br>About using a provider who supports the tools you like to use, if you use the "Standard" or "Professional" plan where you choose your own domain name, like <a href="http://www.yourname.com">www.yourname.com</a> (instead of <a href="http://www.yourname.vpweb.com">www.yourname.vpweb.com</a> that you get with the "Starter" plan) then you can keep your name and switch to a different service. You need to wait for one month after you register and you must not do it within one month of your annual renewal date. <a href="http://www.godaddy.com">www.godaddy.com</a> will help you and they will even offer to host your website for about half the cost of Vista Print ($65/year for a plan similar to VPs "Standard" plan).<br>
<br>Another great option for a simple website is <a href="http://wordpress.com">wordpress.com</a>. It's actually one of the few services I've used that I think make managing a website fun (and I don't mean fun for geeks, I mean fun because you get a lot of simple ways to express yourself and communicate with people). It's free but to have a site without ads costs $30/year.<br>
<br>I also have helped some people set up a solution that is really simple and provides a website as well as email, spam/virus blocking, instant messaging and shared calendars for up to 50 users and costs absolutely nothing. There are no ads on your website and the tools are very simple. You only have to pay for your website address which is about $10 /year.<br>
