What you need is a Sony DCRTRV460. They were the last digital8 camcorder that allowed analog to digital conversion, like you want. There is one on ebay right now for $150 + shipping. I used this for exactly this purpose at Great Ape Trust.<div>

You might check out the Elgato EyeTV Hybrid or EyeTV 250. According to<br>
Elgato's website, they support composite input. Even if they don't,<br>
though, you should be able to route the composite signal from the<br>
camera through a VCR to the thing via coax, etc. Elgato's video<br>
capture software consistently receives positive reviews as well. Plus,<br>
at the end of the day, you'll be able to watch HDTV on your Mac. Costs<br>
range up from $150.<br>

Elgato also makes a device simply for capturing analog video, the<br>
Video Capture. It's only $99.<br>
