If the window is open, it is having to label, then update the Finder as to the status of the label. If the window is closed, it does not have to do the latter step, which is more time consuming than just setting a flag.<br>

Jon, your session Tuesday was very good and I learned alot and am<br>

awhile. It also didn't label some theings but maybe they aren't<br>
documents [.webloc and .fp7 filemaker clone] otherwise it worked as<br>
expected.<br>

I am now going to create a new dated folder on desktop and then move<br>
labeled items into it -- and probably schedule this so at the end of<br>
each day or several, all docs on desktop go there and then my job is<br>
the next AM to come in and file them where they go, which will take<br>
my own decision making and not Automator.<br>

So, why so slow on labelling?<br>
