This is a task I'm pretty sure I can handle. However, I need to purchase an external hard drive to move the files from the internal hard drives... probably 500 GB at the most. BUT what I want to do AFTER this messy job is use the external hard drive with my iMac or PowerBook ~ so I would like it to be relatively portable so I can transfer large files or groups of files. (There will be NO Windows files left on the hard drive.)</div></div><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><div><br></div><div><b>Any suggestions/recommendations? </b></div><div><br></div><div>Yes, throwing the XP machine in the river has crossed my mind, but it works well for email and web browsing and has enough power/speed for what my wife uses it for.
