Thanks David. I didn't know about the smaller version. Also on Amazon,
I found a Pentax version, cheaper, with mixed reviews. <br>
<br>
I also ran a similar question on the MacLife forum and got the
following links from "Nefarious":<br>
<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.google.com/search?ie=utf8&am">http://www.google.com/search?ie=utf8&am</a> … s+cards%22<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.newsoftinc.com/products/prod">http://www.newsoftinc.com/products/prod</a> … id=NAI0019 <br>
<br>
The first is a Google page. Lots of biz card scanners but most not Mac
compatible. The second is so complicated I don't know what it does.<br>
<br>
I replied: " I guess what I would like in my fantasy world is a flat
bed scanner like the Epson V30 that would also read biz cards and make
it available to the address book somehow, and still have all those nice
flatbed features. If anyone knows how to pull that info off the scan
and into the address book or a mail merge let's hear from you. If I am
asking for something obvious to some of you experts, please just slap
me and then explain it to me. If it doesn't exist, could someone please
invent it?"<br>
<br>
Oh well, thanks, I'll keep looking. -Darlene<br>

The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500M is the scanner I've be lusting after

and the smaller version "ScanSnap S300M Clr 600DPI USB 10PG Adf Mobile
Scanner"
I don't have one yet but have heard good reviews from several
sources. I'm looking to go paperless in the next year or so.
The idea is to scan a document and then have OCR allow the text in the
scanned documents allow searching using Spotlight.
