Thanks to John Robertson and Alan Maupin for the prompt rescues on your
busy weekend. I love creating things, but I am soooo not technically
talented, and I discovered at the last minute my iMac doesn't burn
DVDs. I am way out in the boonies of north central Misssouri, an hour
away from even a Walmart (Kirksville, Chillicothe). Six hour round trip
to Jordan Creek.
Alan suggested getting an iPod and tv adapter. I had been lusting after
iPod. Walmart has tthem. What a great excuse to give in to temptation.
It works, the presentation, I mean. Temptation, too, it would seem.

Burning a CD for video is not a good idea for many reasons (quality,
compatibility, etc) so I'd like to give you a couple other options.
If you have iDVD 5 or higher, you can purchase an external DVD burner
that is Mac compatible. Alternatively, you can export your movie to a
quicktime file and save it to a flash drive (check the size of the
file it creates and get a large enough one). This can be copied to
any PC or Mac laptop with a video out and played using quicktime.
Connect the video out to a projector or TV and your good. Whatever
method you use, test your setup asap to make sure it works well.

After working for days on an IMovie project to show on Saturday,
when I
went to IDVD, I got a message saying I couldn't burn because I don't
have a superdrive.
Is there any way around this - I have a 1.83 Ghz Intel Cor 2 Duo
with 1
GB 667Mhz DDR 2 SDRAM
Is there really no way to burn a IDVD? I am out in the boonies 3 hours
from Des Moines. I was going to show the DVD on the Des Moines'
Lapidary
Club's analog TV with a regular DVD player. I put in music and
voiceover. It's under 17 minutes long. Help!
