<html><body name="Mail Message Editor">Thanks, I had never thought of having it engraved. My wife has a 30G video and my daughter has a 4G Nano. I'm in 3 different contemporary bands right now and like to listen to a lot of books on audio and music. I'm sure that I would use the iPod more than both of them combined (my daughter doesn't like me using hers and my wife takes hers to work). I'm the main Mac person in charge of getting audio to their iPods so I think it's about time I got one of these little gadgets for myself. Any other thoughts about used iPods would be appreciated. (Why don't I buy a new one? Our family's already bought two new ones and I don't mind taking a chance.) What I would rather have is an iPod with 32GB non volatile RAM (not on a harddrive). But I am not will to plunk down $400+ on it. THat one failed similarly<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>(there seems to have been a bad batch of those 40GB models) I was<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>loathe to go thorough the 3 week ordeal again, so this time I just<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>took it to the Apple store and had them exchange it for a plain one<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>that is still ticking (even after it being gnawed through it's case by<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>our over-eager Labrador) I'm well out of coverage now, but I'm glad I<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>finally decided to stop getting it engraved. It's funny you mention<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>the warranty since the Apple store said they suggested taking them<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>down to "Things Remembered" when this was going on.<br><br>Don't know if I'd ever engrave a phone # or address on one - between<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>that and the info on the pod it could be a good way to get more stuff<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><br>ripped off.
