<div>Was quite interesting and everyone contributed. The topic
of discussion was Leopard. We talked about issues some had with
its installation and the concensus was that one should do an Erase and
Install and not to just us the default updater. This is also
recommended by the Take Control book [eBooks] on upgrading to
Leopard. Takes a little more time but cuts down on issues that
may crop up and gives you a pristine new machine.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>We talked about what we like and don't like about features of the
OS: STacks, Spaces, more features and new features in Safari
[such as the search on the page feature and the clipping feature, and
the rendering/resizing of text form boxes; Mail, etc. General
consensus was that there will be either OS updates or 3rd party
developers 'fixing' issues people perceive [one being the awkwardness
of having 'only' stacks without just a listing of items rather than
the tall stack or the Grid view].</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>One neat demonstration of a GREAT feature came about when Bryan
Baker showed us various ways to do Screen Sharing: there's Back
to my Mac [it's in SysPrefs], you can do it via iChat and there is a
ScreenSharing option too -- I don't understand it all myself, but it
was fascinating to watch Bryan run my machine while it had one of the
Haddock machines on it as well. Otherworldly.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>I hope Bryan, in response to this, will post a more apt
description of what was going on.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Another neat demonstration was with iChat and Video Effects.
I was able to roam in Yosemite and wander in Paris the same evening.
Definitely worth another demonstration some time.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Topic for next time: <b> Security</b> [passwords, wiresless
etc] - one person told the tale of how the FBI got involved when his
machine was taken over by someone sniffing out his wireless, although
he has [he thought] good security and didn't leave it on all the
time. Definitely a session to attend.</div>

<div>WE WILL NOT MEET IN
