<HTML><BODY style="word-wrap: break-word; -khtml-nbsp-mode: space; -khtml-line-break: after-white-space; ">How old of a Mac does the Macs4Good project take? I've got a bunch of old-to-ancient Macs (dating back to the IIci) mostly 68k Mac, and a few PowerPC Macs, also some PowerBook Duos. I need to get rid of some of them, they're taking up too much space. These were (mostly) old Macs that Mercy Hospital was just going to pitch out. A few are my old macs that I never got around to selling (I like to keep my old machine as a "spare"). Even got a few Mac clones.<DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Got a few old Windows PC or parts of PCs too.<DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV> - Bill Davis<DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"><DIV><BR><DIV><DIV>On Jul 27, 2006, at 1:10 AM, pegleg wrote:</DIV><BR class="Apple-interchange-newline"><BLOCKQUOTE type="cite"> Since the Macs4Good project spends a great deal of time refurbishing older Macs to make them useful. together. The built in AOL web browser cannot view most web pages but once
you are dialed in, you then can launch IE 5.17 or Netscape 7 and view web
sites with them.
I was dealing with an operating system that was corrupted and reinstalling
Mac OS 9 and AOL 5 got it working properly. Thanks for the suggestions I
received.
Thanks!
