You should be able to plug your camera directly into your iMac and use iMovie to extract the movie directly into a project. I don't know if you are going to need the Developer Tools as well, but you can download those for free from Apple. They will provide a Firewire framework that allows many applications to have access to advanced Firewire controls.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>On this page (<A href="http://developer.apple.com/tools/xcode/index.html">http://developer.apple.com/tools/xcode/index.html</A>), just click on the link that says "Download Xcode 2.2".
