I have a Belkin N Wireless router which works fine on one end of the
house but which when I'm at the other end, I can't get enough of a
signal tho the network is recognized. So, having an extra Airport
Express [iTunes Express? - one of those rectangular things] I plugged
it into the ethernet network and it's up right above where I'm
sitting and I set it up to bridge the main network from down in my
office up around the house via ethernet cable to send wifi out on the
other end of the house. Well, it will recognize the network and the
Express does have the green light working, but the laptop still drops
off the network adn won't hold a connection.

I'm doing this with a MacBook Pro 15"

any suggestions?
