[DM-MUG] Used iPods

I bought two used Minis about a year apart because I liked the size and the accessories are dirt cheap now. One had a dead battery, the other developed a click wheel problem (wouldn't Play). I bought a new battery and put it in myself for $20 (took about 45 minutes). When the one with the click-wheel stopped playing, I took them both apart and figured I'd make a single good one with a nice battery. After swapping both parts, I put them together and they both worked, go figure. So, I gave one to my wife and kept the other.

Macresq (now called iresq.com) has an iPod repair program that includes overnight repair for a reasonable price though I have never used their services. I fix my own. Parts can be bought just about everywhere. Two of note: OWC (owcomputing.com), iresq.com, also ebay if you're brave and don't mind the associated potential problems.
