[DM-MUG] new Mac user and moving from Windows98 Dell

friend of mine has new MacBookPro - she was on QWest's DSL service 
and her emails etc. are all on her Dell running Windows 98 and the 
MSN email program QWest supplied [I think] - she can't now access the 
emails since the Dell can only take a USB1 connection and the MBP 
doesn't have that and besides which, I gather they are in a format 
that the Mac can't read.  Any suggestions or ideas ???  Or could she 
in some way get them uploaded or emailed to her at her new gmail 
account [now on the Mac] and get them that way?
