good point.  There is thus a problem with trying to export/save 
emails from programs to easily searchable and returnable items.  For 
instance, I have old emails ref. a case from 2002 and need to find 
one particular one.  That's the issue, to be able to 'offload' or 
save the old emails outside the program [so it doesn't bulk up] but 
still be able to access the info.

Of course once you get the large document you could do a search 
within that text file or import it into a database or text program to 
do that....not sure of the answer.  There's a program called Devon 
Think that apparently also creates a collected set of data from other 
sources, but that made no sensse to me, creating a 2nd or 3rd copy of 
something when it is just as easy [I suppose] to re-import a Mail 
mbox or Eudora mailbox or whatever and run search with that program...
