The hosts file is system-wide, so you really can't change it for one
user w/o effecting all users. Any script or utility which attempted
to do so would run into big problems when more than one user logged in
at a time.
The bigger question is, "What are you trying to accomplish?" If you
provide a description of your goal, someone may know of a utility
which fits the bill. I suspect you are trying to filter out certain
Web sites? Have you tried Parental Controls on the account(s) in
question? If we are talking about a network, then perhaps a filtering
proxy would be a better solution.
