So you want to use a drive that you're already using as the clone of
another drive? Yeah, you'll have to either copy the data onto the
internal hard drive of your Mac (of there's room), and then do the
cloning, or like Victoria said, get a second external drive.
But then you'd have 3 drives. The first two can be paired so your Mac
can be backed up, but if the second one is to become and archive
destination for pics/movies, you'll need a 4th hard drive to be the
clone of that one so that you have 2 x everything.
