[DM-MUG] DSL vs Cable Speed

I recently decided to switch to 3Mbps DSL to take advantage of Qwest's
bundle savings. For the next few days, I have both DSL and cable, so I've
been doing some connection speed testing and thought others would like to
see the results.

All testing was done in the last few minutes, roughly 9 PM Monday evening,
using http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ with Chicago as my chosen server.
Your mileage may vary.

Cable 1
Last Result:
Download Speed: 5702 kbps (712.8KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 484 kbps (60.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

Cable 2
Last Result:
Download Speed: 6299 kbps (787.4KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 484 kbps (60.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

DSL 1
Last Result:
Download Speed: 2624 kbps (328KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 537 kbps (67.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

DSL 2
Last Result:
Download Speed: 2604 kbps (325.5KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 537 kbps (67.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

I didn't realize how fast my cable connection is, so I'm a bit wary about
the change. However, I rarely need the cable speed, so hopefully won't
notice or miss it when it's gone.

Cheers,
Chris
