I kind of figured, but the URL is nowhere to be found there, and I
missed out on the initial conversation.
Anyway, whatever gets done about hosting, it needs to be separate
from the members themselves, and I need to get the domain name
transferred to a current officer - it's up for renewal soon, and we
probably want to switch registrars, since Ghandi (while good) is
european, and we've been taking the short end of the exchage rate for
a couple years. GoDaddy, while they may not be the greatest is much
cheaper, and quite a bit bigger. We might consider hosting there, or
somewhere else as well, but it will cost, unlike our current
arrangement w/ cialug.
I'd like to actually see what she's doing w/ iWeb, but there was no URL.
The drawback of iWeb, will be that it cannot really be a
collaborative effort any more than what we have now, though it will
be simpler to maintain, it will be a project on one persons machine
(and I'm still not sure where the local source files are kept).
My website http://ka-klick.com was done in iWeb, and hosted on my
personal .mac account, but I have the domain mask it - the drawback
is I have to go in and manually edit links after they are put up. I
like what it does for simple good looking layouts though.
