[DM-MUG] Q ref Macs talking to PCs...

If we assume when they say "web site update" they mean "modify html or php text files", then as long as that web server offers windows file sharing or runs an ftp service, or webdav, then any current computer can connect to it regardless of OS and hardware.

I'd find out what kind of web server they're using and which software it's using (Apache, IIS etc.) I'd also find out who convinced them Macs couldn't connect and edit content.

If they're using a content management system that requires special platform restricted third party software, I can imagine there could be a "windows OS only" situation, but with emulation on G5s and virtualization on Intel Macs, that too is not an issue.

If their web host offers a browser only template driven system, and it's active x based, then that could impose an IE 6+ browser restriction which a windows OS is required for. But again with emulation or virtualization, that's not a problem.
