DW (and I recommend strongly using v.4) works fastest from an
external bootable drive. Install DW on your drive, then clone it to
an external. This way you have a working clone and a Utility drive.
Boot from the external, and run DW on the internal--former boot--
drive. Booting from the CD using v.4 takes way too long, but is the
most stable. Using a separate Mac as a utility drive, with DW
installed, and your target machine in FireWire Target Disk Mode (hold
down "T" on startup) is another quick method of running the utility.
