[DM-MUG] Some, not all, apps. on G5 are not opening

I first noticed it when I switched to my Admin user and tried to run 
Onyx and it wouldn't...then I couldn't run in that user a few other 
things so restarted and went back to my main user and then noticed 
other apps wouldn't work = and yet others did....

if I archiveinstall = I find external HD large enough, archive to 
that, wipe the troublesomedrive, installback everything and keep user 
names and everything the same??  It's been awhile since I have done 
that....v
