[DM-MUG] Some, not all, apps. on G5 are not opening

I tried to install Safari and it hung so I decided to force quit and 
do it later and repaired permissions and restarted  - now some apps 
won't start up...I have Quickeys and Quicksilver set as login items, 
both would not open on restart so I deleted them from LogIns and then 
restarted, still not opening then I clicked to open them directly and 
neither would.

Eudora works but could not open SpamSieve so it could do the spam 
filtering= even tho DragThing does work.

Mail isn't opening either.

Any ideas of what to do???
