Another security relate tool I use is Little Snitch. http://www.obdev.at/products/littlesnitch/index.html It is the opposite of a Firewall. It reports abnormal network connections made from you Mac to the outside world. It also reports applications that attempt to "phone home". No, it's not free, but you can download a demo.
