[DM-MUG] VHS to DVD

I have been researching and shopping to find what I need to convert  
analog VHS tapes to DVD with an intermediate step of adding labels,  
etc like Holly showed us at a recent DMMUG meeting.  Can I expect the  
iLife software to do the work or will I need to buy additional  
software?  Is it better to do the conversion through a digital video  
camera or would a converter be a better choice?  Has anyone used the  
product 'myTV.PVR' as the converter?  Will I need to purchase Toast  
to burn the DVD's or will iLife handle that for me?  I also want to  
take only the music from a video tape and burn it to a CD.

I have a G4 Powerbook and plan to purchase an external hard drove for  
the additional storage for the videos.
