[DM-MUG] Re: old lady with hot mac

Thanks for the tip, Mathew. It's obviously a good idea. However, when I
downloaded it I found that even at low computer temperatures and at a low
fan setting (1200) the fan kicks on and even though it does run
significantly cooler, now it's (grump, grump) NOISEY. As a writer who has
used Macs for 20+ years and prized them because they are so transparent as a
work medium, I find the heat, and now the noise, irritating and distracting.
Any other ideas?
