We met [Ray Bowler, Holly Welch & myself, and Chris Corrice dropped
by, as it's an open meeting] and talked about a number of things.
One was the survey results [so far] - see reposted info below.
The plan right now is to have the following 'agenda' at meetings. We
are trying to meet the needs and desires of the vast array of
Apple/Mac users we have at meetings, from novices to developers. We
will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. and we will end so that CW can close
down Haddock at 9:00 p.m. at the latest.
7:00 pm - Introductions, news to share [Apple/Mac focused], Tips &
Tricks [more about that later]
7:15 p.m. - Main Presentation [the program topic with Q & A included
or at the end, as the program leader chooses. We'll let everyone
know well in advance of the meeting of the topic so you can share
thoughts and questions before on the list or be ready with them at
the meeting.
8:00 p.m. - At this point, we can break out for socializing,
mini-workshops on issues related to the main topic, for small group
sharing on topics of concern etc. We can break and enjoy
refreshments, get to know each other, pick the brains of people who
know alot or raise questions that maybe answered by others in the
group. If the main presentation is a 'hot' topic, we could even
continue with that and those who want to move onto other topics can
do so out of the room. This open forum would last for about an hour,
and we'd all let CW close shop at 9:00 p.m.
If anyone has thoughts or suggestions on this, share with me or this
list or however you wish.
REMEMBER THE SURVEY
In order to provide programs of interest to our group, I have created
a 7 question survey online. Your names will not be tracked, and I
will only receive the tallies.
Please complete the survey before April 10.
Thanks so much for your input!
