[DM-MUG] Okay you graphics folks, pick a font.

Well, fonts will make a difference in display if you pick something
that is non-standard. It is possible to fine-tune things with CSS to
make sure that there are default fonts to fall back upon that will
still make the site look good.
But otherwise, the rest of the site should show up relatively the same
if you run Firefox or Safari. The same with the IE's. Opera is starting
to look similar to Firefox. I tend to design my websites so that it
works with a certain set of browsers. Right now, I make sure it works
with Firefox, Safari, and Opera. IE7 seems to be able to handle things
similar to Firefox, but I haven't tested it extensively. Being on the
Mac or not shouldn't affect things as much as which family of browsers
you are testing with.
I am not a pro, but I have done some serious working with websites over
the last several years and am trying to learn what I can. I tend to do
my coding directly to HTML, but I do have Dreamweaver to help out when
I need to do something fancy that I am not sure about in terms of
getting the HTML, CSS, etc. to work out right. :)
Thanks,
Stuart
