If the IP changes, then set up Dynamic DNS through www.dyndns.com or 
www.no-ip.com. I use dyndns.com. They provide an updater to keep the 
public IP address and the name in sync. Then you can use the dynamic 
name in your back-end code. I use this to provide access to a file 
server that is accessed through ssh and a videophone.
