While this is true (their agreement forbids running any type of
service), they do not actively scan for violators.  I've run websites
off of my cable modem connection for years now and had no problems.
You just have to watch your bandwidth consumption.  If you have a lot
of traffic, you will probably need to look for a hosted solution or
check out DSL service.  I just have family use my website and so far
so good.
